And what a way to start! Lot 158 is the filly by Leading Australian First Season Sire of 2015-2016 Smart Missile from one of the jewels of the Cressfield broodmare band in Our Egyptian Raine. Having already produced Gr3 winning sprinter Egyptian Symbol and stakes placed Hong Kong gelding Strathmore, this filly is sure to have many second lookers at stable U 12.

Lot 240 is another filly with exceptional residual value, by sprint producing prodigy Exceed and Excel from Gr1 winner River Dove. This is a terrific family with the dam having already produced Gr2 Silver Slipper-winning Vinery stallion Headwater and multiple stakes placed Fare Well, both also by Exceed and Excel. This is a family that has brought so much success for Contract Racing and others with Kulgrinda, River Delta, Cross Current, Willow Creek, First Command and Oneworld all in large black type.

Lots 305 and 707 are both by Northern Meteor’s talented son and forst crop yearling sire in Deep Field. Lot 305 is from stakes-winning Show A Heart mare Shoboard. It’s the speedy family of Champion NZ Sprinting 3YO filly Star Satire, her Gr2 Silver Slipper winning daughter Satin Shoes and her Listed Gimcrack Stakes winning daughter Satin Slipper. Moving to Lot 707 you’ll find equal appeal with the filly from stakes winner Expensive. It’s a classy UK family that features Gr1 Newmarket July Cup winner Dream Ahead.

Lots 673 and 682 feature a father/son act in the proven sire I Am Invincible and his exciting freshman son Brazen Beau, respectively. Lot 673 is another from the prodigious River Dove family, specifically from her Flying Spur daughter Dove Lake. Meanwhile, Lot 682 is on a similar theme, this time from a twice winning daughter of Our Egyptian Raine.

Lot 326 is arguably the pinnacle of this draft on paper – a gorgeous colt that will have many admirers, by Champion Stallion Snitzel from Snowdrift. So far this French bred mare has produced Gr1 Galaxy winner Snowland, Gr2 Surround / Magic Night winner Portillo, Listed-winning and Gr2 Challenge Stakes-winning Snippetson, as well as stakes-placed Snowden and Freeze. Portillo has already added to this golden family with daughter Ghisoni a winner of the Gr2 Surround Stakes like her mum. Add in France’s Chamipon 2YO Colt and successful sire Myboycharlie for good measure.

Lot 751 rounds out another exceptional Cressfield draft, where the filly by Foxwedge from Galapagos Girl will strut onto the stage. Galapagos Girl is a half-sister to Harrod’s-worthy mare Procrastinate, daughter of five-time Gr1 winning South African sprinter Laisserfaire and her exceptional colts Centennial Park and Zodiac Ruler.
