When Sheikh Khalifa’s filly Pretty Fast won December’s BRC Mode Plate LR at Doomben, she became the 22^nd stakes-winning Arrowfield Magic Millions Gold Coast graduate since 2011.

Pretty Fast is one of four horses from the Stud’s Magic Millions Class of 2016 to make a splash in 2017, after a trio of colts: Invader (ATC Sires’ Produce S. G1), Showtime (MVRC Bill Stutt S. G2) and Dracarys (ATC Up and Coming S. G3). Joining that quartet in major 2017 stakes results was Blueblood Thoroughbreds’ grand mare Secret Agenda, trained by Mick Price. A $120,000 buy from Arrowfield at the 2014 Magic Millions Sale, she has rewarded her owners with $1.2 million prizemoney and four Group victories, including the 2017 SAJC Robert Sangster S. G1.

This impressive graduate record sets the bar high for Arrowfield, but the famous Hunter Valley farm has the stallion power, the broodmare band and the horsemanship to keep fulfilling dreams for Magic Millions buyers.

Already home of legendary Champion Sire Redoute’s Choice and his sensational sons Not A Single Doubt and reigning Champion Sire Snitzel, Arrowfield has plenty of fresh stallion talent heading to centre stage.  Smart Missile is Australia’s Leading Third Crop Sire by winners, Second Crop sire Animal Kingdom is building momentum in both hemispheres and the development of Dundeel’s first crop 2YOs is pleasing many major Australian stables.

They will soon be followed by Arrowfield’s four-time Group 1-winning sprinter-miler Olympic Glory, whose first yearlings debut at the 2018 Magic Millions Sale. A son of Royal Ascot hero Choisir, Olympic Glory displayed Australian-style precocity and run-for-fun speed in the best European company, winning eight of his 15 starts from 1200 to 1600 metres at two, three and four. Group 1 victories in each of those three seasons emphatically established his class.

Accolades followed, among them the titles of Champion 2YO Colt in France and Champion European 3YO & Older Male Miler, and a final Timeform rating of 130. By way of comparison, only Winx among Australia’s stars has been rated above 130 since Olympic Glory retired to stud.

From the 12 Olympic Glory yearlings Arrowfield will offer at Magic Millions, Bloodstock Manager Jon Freyer highlights Lot 24, the filly out of Lanai (by Gone West) and Lot 31, the filly from Group winner Let’s Make Adeal. “Both are lovely, strong fillies and prime examples of Olympic Glory’s offspring.” Other lots from the 63-strong consignment likely to make buyers’ shortlists include:

• Lot 126 - Smart Missile-Negotiate colt: “Half-brother to Group 1 winner Secret Agenda, from a tremendous producer who always leaves an athletic type, and this boy is no exception.”
• Lot 151 – Dundeel-Opportunity colt: “He’s an excellent, fluent mover, typical of what Dundeel leaves, his dam was a very smart 2YO and has produced two stakes performers.”
• Lot 294 - Not A Single Doubt-She Loves You colt: “A typical, racy Not A Single Doubt type bred on the Gunnison cross, and with a similar physical. He’s the mare’s second foal and a grandson of Group 2 winner She Will Be Loved from a prolific stakes-producing family.”
• Lot 573 - Animal Kingdom-Butters colt: “Strongly made, attractive, athletic half-brother to Group 1 winner Foxplay and descended from champion US 2YO filly Eliza.”
• Lot 731 - Redoute’s Choice-Flavoured filly: “A lovely, big, strong full sister to Group 3-winning juvenile Honesty Prevails. And the Redoute’s Choice/Hussonet cross is magic: five Group winners from 10 runners.”
• Lot 733 – Snitzel-Flidais filly: “The Snitzel-Flidais mating has already produced Showtime and Group 1 winner Sweet Idea, and this is a star filly who reminds us very much of her big sister.”
