Rosden Park's beautifully bred sire Dedline is well represented

Wellington based Rosden Park has a significant presence at the upcoming Adelaide Magic Millions with 19 Lots to go under the hammer. It's a diverse draft which in the main features a potpourri of young sire talent.

A significant member of this new sire sortie is resident blue blood stallion Dedline. Pedigrees simply do not get much better than Fastnet Rock out of Zabeel mare Peruzzi and is the cause for much optimism as his first crop yearlings enter the sale spotlight.

Lot 104 is the first of 7 by Dedline in the draft. He's the colt from NZ-bred mare Love To Dance, a Gr1 winner of the Sires' Produce Stakes and dam of dual Listed winner Ehor and stakes-placed gelding Party Crasher. Lot 338 is from an Octagonal mare in Festivities, a sister to stakes-placed Flemington galloper Pentathlon, while Lot 358 stars the luminary in Gr1 Cox Plate winner Pinker Pinker, who's from a three-quarter-sister to her dam Miss Marion. Lot 376 is another daughter of Dedline with a pedigree laden with black type. The first foal of dam Quaser, second dam Social Register is a half-sister to Gr3 winner Essence. This family traces to serious quality in the form of triple Gr1 Breeders' Cup winner Beholder, Gr1 Hollywood Futurity winner Into Mischief and Gr1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Mendelssohn. Lot 404 is the Dedline colt from winner-producing Testa Rossa mare Testa Azzurra, a half-sister to the dam of Gr2 winner, dual Gr1-placed NZ star Harris Tweed while the final Dedline offering in the draft is Lot 449, the colt from Classy Club. He's another first foal from a mare with a strong stakes-producing pedigree including Gr1 South African winner Royal Glitter.

The Rosen Park draft also features 3 yearlings by first crop SH sire Zebedee, a stallion with almost 200 individual NH winners and a big reputation. Lot 86 is from La Poupee, from a half-sister to flashy stakes-placed mare Alice Blue Gown. Prominent on the page is dual Gr3 winning sprinter She Flys. This is a pedigree with 2YO potential. Lot 196 is from Silent Attitude, a six-time winner. Featuring an interesting sex-balanced cross of Caro the family tracks to stakes performers Kirona and Trupt. Lot 390 is another from this family, out of three-from-three winner producer Shady Grove.

In terms of early season sales two of the hottest first crop yearling sires have been Deep Field and Dissident, with both averaging north of $200,000 at the recent Gold Coast Magic Millions. The Rosen Park draft has one of each. Lot 54 is the Deep Field filly from Grassfire. She's already produced SA Gr3 runner-up Light It Up and has a perfect 2 from 2 winner record to date. Meanwhile, Lot 317 is by Horse of the Year (and son of Sebring) Dissident from Flying Spur mare Chandon Rose. She's a three-quarter-sister to Listed winner and Gr1 Karrakatta Plate runner-up Rose of Dane. The pedigree also features a duplication of both Flying Spur and Danzig.

A sire with his eldest being 2YOs but already showing potential is Fighting Sun. A son of ill-fated Champion sire Northern Meteor, Lot 318 is the colt from Reset mare Checklist, a half-sister to Gr2 Alister Clark and Gr2 Autumn Classic winner Tally.

Of the established sires, Reward For Effort is represented by 2 lots. The first is actually the second lot for sale, from Damascus Road. She's a half-sister to Gr3 Tramway winner Bank Robber and tracks to Gr2 Kewney winner Ponton Flyer. Lot 218 is from Scenic mare Summery and features a cross of Imposing. Second dam Springhill Lady is a half-sister to dual Listed winner Dance Hit, the dam of two stakes winners.

Also prominent in the Rosden Park line-up are Lot 93, by Gr1 producing sire Dream Ahead from the family of leading sire Al Maher and Redoute's Choice, Lot 99 by Flying Spur's son Krupt from 9 time winner and stakes-producer Lil Cashy, the Zoffany filly (Lot 267) from a sister to Gr3 winner Pittsburgh Flyer and Lot 278, the filly by Showcasing from Zabeel mare Anzali. The fact that the dam is by prominent damsire Zabeel will ensure considerable interest, plus she's a sister to Gr1 Rosehill Guineas winner Abrasive.
