Based on the recent success of Written Tycoon colt Written By, recent winner of the Gr3 Blue Diamond Prelude, Lot 210 is probably a good place to start in what is another classy and diverse Basinghall Farm draft at this year’s Melbourne Premier. The colt is from a twice winning Al Maher mare. What is particularly nice about this pedigree is that second dam Perfumery is by Zabeel. Other than being an absolutely outstanding broodmare influence, Zabeel’s grand-daughters are also starting to show the same ability to pass on his elite racing characteristics. The action in this pedigree is around NZ Gr3 winner O’Reilly Rose and Gr1 Newmarket Handicap winner Shamexpress.

On the topic of Al Maher, Lot 77 is by him. Another cot from a Zabeel line mare, Set To Talk, by Reset.
