Amarina Farm has produced many top quality racehorses in its first decade, including Gr1 winners Sheidel, Super Cool, Gallica, and The Heckler, as well as recent group winners Property, Catkins, Artistry, Wowee, Brillant Bisc, and Gr1 placed stakes winner Aeronautical. Most of their graduates were sold through yearling sales, and Amarina Farm has a great strike rate with the Inglis Easter Sale thanks to graduates Gr3 winner Karacatis, stakes winner Anevay, and recent stakes placed horses such as My True Love, Overstep, and current 3YO Workdrinks (a winner on debut this season, and third in the Listed ATC Reginald Allen).

Amarina Farm will present a draft of eleven yearlings at the first Easter Sale to be held at the new Inglis Riverside Complex. Two Snitzel colts will be on everyone’s inspection list, as the Champion Sire continues to break records. From the stallion family of Shooting to Win and Deep Field comes Lot 320, who is the first foal of group placed Red Fez. This colt is inbred 2x3 to Champion Sire Redoute’s Choice. Lot 429 is out of a young winning Encosta de Lago mare, who descends from a top family including Champion NZ Sprinter Bounding, dual Gr1 winner November Snow (dam of Gr1 winner Morning Line, and group winning 2YO Kuroshio).

Champion Sire Exceed and Excel has two yearlings in the Amarina 2018 Easter draft, including Lot 366, a full brother to Gr3 winner (of 7 races and over $700,000) Thermal Current, and this colt is out of stakes winner Soaressa, a half-sister to Gr1 winner Eagle Way. Lot 438 is the third foal of Gr2 2YO winner Willow Creek, whose first two foals are winners, and of four races to date. This is a strong 2YO family which includes Headwater.

Proven sire Sebring has Lot 193, a colt from an imported winning half-sister to German stakes winner Lacateno, and Champion German 3YO Lando features in this family. Uncle Mo started his stud career with Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist, and his colt, Lot 333, is out of a city winning half-sister to Red Colossus and Nediym’s Glow.

A filly with massive residual value is Lot 149, by emerging Gr1 sire Pierro, from Gr1 winner Gallica, this filly has a strong Oaks flavour to her pedigree. Zoustar is headlining with his first crop thanks to Sunlight, and his daughter, Lot 143, is the first foal of a winning half-sister to Gr3 winner Taikun and Super Groove.

Amarina Farm will present three colts by first season sires in their 2018 Inglis Easter draft. Lot 425, a colt by Brazen Beau, is the first foal of stakes winner Veuvelicious (by Northern Meteor), while Lot 204 is a colt by Rubick from stakes placed winner of six races, Leviosa, from the family of top rated 2YO Clan O’Sullivan. The Deep Field yearlings have been sought after, and Lot 331 is a colt, who is the first foal of city winner Royal Amati, a half-sister to Winged Cupid, and the dam of Traffic Jam. European Horse of the Year in 2016, Minding, is from this family.
