(Street Cry-Typhoon Tracy, by Red Ransom)
Stands 2017 at Bullarook Park for $4,400
The impeccable pedigree of Last Typhoon should attract many breeders to inspect and utilise him. The son of two Horse of the Year title winners, Last Typhoon is a valuable outcross for the multitude of Danehill line mares in the Australian breeding population.
His sire, Street Cry himself a dual Gr1 winner, is the sire of Champion racehorses Winx, Zenyatta and Whobegotyou, as well as a total of 110 stakes winners including 19 Gr1 winners. His sire sons are starting to make their mark, with the likes of Street Sense (47 stakes winners), Street Boss (29), as well as Melbourne Cup winner Shocking who left a NZ Oaks winner in his first crop.
Last Typhoon is the only foal of Australian Horse of the Year Typhoon Tracy, who sadly died while foaling him. Last Typhoon overcame this unideal start to life and won two races, both at 2,000m. Typhoon Tracy won 11 races, including six at Gr1 level, and is out of another Champion in Tracy’s Element. Typhoon Tracy is also a full sister to stakes winner Red Element, who stands at stud in Queensland. Top sires Danasinga, Towkay and emerging sire Master of Design are all from this excellent family.
Last Typhoon has the weight of expectation on his shoulders, and as a winning son of two Champions, he is well placed in the market for breeders who want an alternative to Danehill.
