Riva Ridge sold stakes winner Viddora from a recent Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale draft, and other luminaries off the farm include the tough stakes winner It Is Written (11 wins from 69 starts and over three quarters of a million dollars), and Golden Penny.

Continuing Riva Ridge’s philosophy of supporting young stallions, the five yearlings that Riva Ridge will offer this year are by up and coming stallions. A half brother to Viddora, Lot 277, by first season sire Fiorente is a must inspect. This colt’s dam is a multiple city winner, and as Viddora is currently racing in stakes class, this pedigree is likely to keep upgrading.

First season sire, and Gr2 winner, Kuroshio is represented by Lot 406, a filly from a winning Pins mare whose first two foals are winners. This is the family of Gr1 Australasian Oaks winner Centaurea. Proven sire Big Brown's oldest crop are only 5YOs and he’s left the American Gr1 winner Dortmund, and 21 stakes winners to date. His colt, Lot 389, is out of a winning half sister to Gr1 Blue Diamond & Gr1 Golden Slipper runner-up Zizou, from the family of Not a Single Doubt.

Another young sire who has wins on the board is Stryker. His oldest crop are 4YOs, and he left Gr1 New Zealand Derby winner Rangipo in his first crop. Riva Ridge will present his filly, Lot 346, whose dam is a winning General Nediym mare. General Nediym is the damsire of the last two VRC Oaks winners, Jameka and Lasqueti Spirit, so this filly’s pedigree speaks Oaks potential. This filly is from the family of Si Senor and Bello Signor.

Second season sire Squamosa started his career with a bang when his 2YO Kiwi Ida won on debut in New Zealand. Kiwi Ida is now a stakes horse, and Riva Ridge has a colt by Squamosa on offer in Adelaide. Lot 340 is out of Baggage, a city winning mare (who also won as a 2YO). Baggage is a daughter of Gr2 winner Mamzelle Pedrille, which makes her a half sister to Gr2 winner O’Lonhro. This is the famed Pedrille family.
